SERVING TODAY. SET FOR TOMORROW

Having lived in Aurora’s Ward 3 since I was a child, Aurora is near and dear to my heart. I grew up here. I was a teenager here. I called Aurora home as a college age student and young adult. I am raising my family here. I’ve lived here for over thirty years and I want my family to feel safe, confident, and excited to call Aurora home for at least another thirty years.

As much as I love Aurora, I am very concerned for my city. I am running as a candidate for Aurora’s Ward 3 City Council seat because I know how important this election is for the future of our city. If we are going to enjoy a high quality of life and be proud to call Aurora home for generations to come, we must “SET” a proper path forward. In order for Aurora to excel in the future, we must focus on public safety, economic growth, and our transportation infrastructure:

Safety – I believe that one of the primary roles of government is to ensure public safety and address crime. In the midst of a skyrocketing crime rate in Aurora, we must address this issue head on. We should all be able to feel safe in our neighborhoods and community. We must support our local police and fire departments.

Economic Development – Aurora has incredible potential. We are poised to be the major economic driver in the state. We must expand wisely and purposefully. This will take leaders who will work hard to ensure the path forward for strong economic growth and the creation of jobs for the people of Aurora.

Transportation – We must address our roads, bridges, and aging infrastructure. Many years ago, Aurora was forced to make significant cuts to its transportation and public works budgets. The result has been a $20 million+ deficit to our roads and infrastructure budget each year - for several years! We cannot simply keep kicking the can down the road each year… pretty soon it will get stuck in a pothole!

As a father, husband, pastor, coach, servant, budget-officer, and friend to many in my community, I am excited for the incredible potential of Aurora. The future is bright for Aurora. I believe that as we serve our community today, we can become set for our future - a future that ensures that the people of Aurora can feel safe, work freely, and raise their families with a high quality of life.

I would be honored to earn your support - and your vote - as I run for Aurora’s Ward 3 City Council seat.
